Under new ownership- 170 Year Old Chatham inn undergoing restoration and rebranding by luxury hospitality and design partners, welcoming guests this summer.**

Proprietors Brian Dougherty and Nick Robert have acquired the 170 year old Moses Nickerson House Inn on Old Harbor Road and have commenced a two phase restoration and rebranding project with upgrades to guest rooms and common areas to be completed early next month. The partners are working with Dennis based G. Hatch Restorations to enhance and preserve all of the historic character of the grand property, built in 1839 by whaling Captain Moses Nickerson.

When reopened next month as the Chatham Gables Inn, the library, drawing room and all of the guests rooms will be completely renovated and redecorated to provide guests with a sophisticated yet casual decor. From custom wall coverings and fabrics to luxurious linens, flat screen televisions with DVD’s, refinished wide pine floors, fireplaces and Pharmacopiia bath amenities, guests of the Chatham Gables Inn can appreciate the services and amenities offered at larger hotels without compromising the allure of Chatham’s quintessential New England experience.

"The opening of the Chatham Gables Inn represents the culmination of our year long search of historic properties between Pennsylvania and Maine. From the moment we stepped into this old house, we knew our search had ended", remarks Dougherty, who brings his background in luxury hospitality management and resort development to the venture.
