Falmouth
Falmouth is comprised of seven villages including North Falmouth, West Falmouth, Woods Hole, Falmouth, Teaticket, East Falmouth, and Waquoit. The Cape Cod Beaches of Falmouth are found either on Buzzards Bay, or overlooking Marthas Vineyard, on Vineyard Sound. These beaches feature warm, calm water, and soft sand perfect for families with young children. Beach stickers can be purchased at Falmouth Town Hall, located at 59 Town Hall Square. One day passes can be purchased at Old Silver Beach, Menauhant Beach and Surf Drive Beach. For more information on Falmouth beach stickers, call 508-548-7611. Bristol Beach Bristol Beach is a Vineyard Sound beach featuring lifeguards in-season, and portable restrooms. A beach sticker is required for parking. Directions: Take Grand Ave. to Menauhant Rd. Chapoquoit Beach Chapoquoit is located between Buzzards Bay and West Falmouth Harbor. A beach sticker is required for parking. Amenities include: Portable Restrooms Lifeguards In-Season Handicap Accessible Ramp Concession Truck Makes Daily Visits Directions: In W. Falmouth take Rt. 28A to Chapoquoit Rd. Falmouth Heights Beach Falmouth Heights is a Vineyard Sound beach featuring lifeguards in-season, and portable restrooms. A beach sticker is required for parking. Directions: Take Falmouth Heights Rd. to Grand Ave. Megansett Beach Megansett is a Buzzards Bay beach featuring lifeguards in-season, and portable restrooms. A beach sticker is required for parking. Directions: In W. Falmouth take Rt. 28A to Country Rd. Menauhant Beach Menauhant is one of the larger Cape Cod beaches of Vineyard Sound. It has everything that you could want in a beach. There is a $10 daily parking fee for non-residents. Amenities include: Restrooms Lifeguards In-Season Concessions Bathhouse Handicap Accessible Directions: In E. Falmouth off Menauhant Rd. Old Silver Beach When it comes to Cape Cod beaches in the Falmouth area, Old Silver is one of the more popular. Free of currents, these warm waters are an ideal spot for swimming, water sports, wind surfing and fun in the sun. The soft, white sand, and calm, placid water of Old Silver keep it among the top beaches on Cape Cod. There is a $20 daily parking fee for non-residents. Amenities include: Restrooms Bathhouse Lifeguards In-Season Concessions Handicap Access Directions: Take Route 28, follow signs to Quaker Rd. Stoney Beach Stoney Beach is a Vineyard Sound beach featuring lifeguards in-season, and portable restrooms. A beach sticker is required for parking. Directions: In Woods Hole; North of Woods Hole Rd. Surf Drive Beach Surf Drive features the warm, calm water of Vineyard Sound, along with a small inlet, ideal for families with young kids. This beach offers some of the best views of Martha's Vineyard and Nobska Light, of any of the Cape Cod Beaches. There is a $10 daily parking fee for non-residents. Amenities include: Restrooms Bathhouse Lifeguards In-Season Concessions Handicap Access Directions: Take Surf Drive off Route 28 in Falmouth. Wood Neck Beach This Buzzards Bay beach is found at the mouth of a saltwater lake(Little Sippewissett Lake). A beach sticker is required for parking. Amenities include: Restrooms Bathhouse Lifeguards In-Season Concessions Directions: From Rt. 28 take Palmer Ave. to Sippewissett Rd.
